To help frontline medical workers operating during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, Aeroklas has commenced production of medical-grade face shields.
Aeroklas has been producing plastic automotive accessories since 1996, however the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus has seen Aeroklas pivot into manufacturing medical-grade PET reusable face shields*.
These face shields have been designed and manufactured with the goal of supplying them to medical workers in various fields during these challenging times where personal hygiene and social distancing are of paramount importance.
Each shield is designed to be used where the risk of exposure to harmful airborne droplets through splashing is possible and for preventing infectious droplets from entering the eyes, nose and mouth of the wearer. See-through and fog-resistant, they are equipped with EDPM sponge tape and OEKO-TEX® Class 1 elastic, while the shield itself can be washed and reused and can also be replaced.
Aeroklas has already dispatched to hospitals and clinics in Japan and initial batches to both Australia and North America are next to be dispatched. This process is a key sign of Aeroklas’ willingness to aid workers both locally and overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic, while it also demonstrates exceptional manufacturing capabilities both in product scope and speed of production.
*Aeroklas face shields are lodged with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Register (ARTG) under lodgement No. 334846.
